[ROM] midNIGHT ROM v3.3 BYOR and Pre-Built AIO (VERY COOL) 2/14/2011

ive been having issues with this rom when text messaging...the physical keyboard misses a lot of letters...it doesnt seem to be happening with the browser or when im typing in any other part of the phone but only on the gingerbread messaging..anyone else have this issue? this is my 2nd epic thats done this

well i dont see how rom would be the culprit, odin back to stock and see if its still going on. odd its your second epic with this issue, sure your typing is not the issue? i never herd anybody having tis issue on any roms.

I tested this as 2.9.1 all day today and it ran like a champ. Apparently the redirector was broken and its fixed for 2.9.2. If that was the only change I can attest that this ROM runs great. Its much smoother and stable and I haven't run into a bug yet. GPS locked in 5 seconds. Great job! I'm going to download 2.9.2 when I get home.

I've been testing 2.9.1 as well since last night and other than the redirector not working with quickboot, this might be the best release yet. About to install 2.9.2 now.

The hardware keyboard issue is a known issues. One of the reasons I removed swype was because it was known to cause the hardware keyboard lag. The problem actually has something to do with the keyboard buffer. To my knowledge there is no fix. However, many have found improvement without swype. That is why I made it uninstallable. So you can try to uninstall swype and see if that helps. I still have this problem and it's frustrating. I notice it most when I'm posting to my blog from my phone. It does seem to be getting better since DK28. Hopefully we can get a official 2.2 and that will have addressed the problem... You will find this problem with any rom you use. It's hit and miss....

I'm having an issue with the redirector and quickboot. I can get into recovery using quickboot, but it's not finding the SD card. I know this was an issue on the build some of us tested yesterday and today. Is anyone else having this same issue with 2.9.2?

You need to make sure to flash the oneclickroot w/CW3

Hey medic i am on v2.9 right now. I never knew about 2.9.1 and i never flashed 2.9.1. Will it be ok if i just skip 2.9.1 and go str8 to 2.9.2? If so can i do 9xwipe and just flash 2.9.2 or what? thanx

1) Odin back to Stock DK28 (not extended version)
2) Do the oneclickroot with CW2.5 redirector
3) Flash midNIGHT ROM v2.9 and let it boot
4) Using Quickboot boot into recovery (this should now be CW2.5.5.2)
5) Flash the no journaling/EXT4 formatter
6) Flash midNIGHT v2.9.2 and enjoy.
7) Boot up and then flash oneclickroot w/CW3

The recovery will see the sd card when I boot to recovery using the 3 finger method, just not through quickboot. The same issue I was having yesterday.

2.9.1 was just a test build, not a released build.
Follow the instructions above to flash the new release.
The quickboot issue I'm having is not a major issue, just more of an annoyance.

so then i can just put 2.9.2 on my sd card and do the 9x wipe, flash 2.9.2 and all is well in android world? is it ok to flash in cwm3? also i have never put the no journaling mod on my phone, will this make a difference?
