Ouch.... For the record things like this will happen when we make dramatic changes like no journaling or EXT4. The bus seem to be fixed by the new kernel... I'll PM you a link so you can test it if you would like....

We understand, there were alot changes in 2.9. I've also seen the same issues over in the some of the xda rom threads with the roms using mammons base. It's like everyother time some new development has come about in the history of smart phones. There will always be bugs that need to be worked out. That's why we have these development forums, so we can all work to the same goal.

Thanks for all the hard work!

What? try reflashing the dk28 modem only... That should fix that issue. What rom did you flash?..

Please get back to me...

Re: midNIGHT ROM v2.9.2 EXT4 CW3 Redirect 1/19/2011

I tested this as 2.9.1 all day today and it ran like a champ. Apparently the redirector was broken and its fixed for 2.9.2. If that was the only change I can attest that this ROM runs great. Its much smoother and stable and I haven't run into a bug yet. GPS locked in 5 seconds. Great job! I'm going to download 2.9.2 when I get home.

1. Odin to stock DK28
2. Ran Clockwork Mod v3.0.0.5 from desktop.
3. Rebooted to CW3 using 3 key method and waited for conversion.
4. Cleaned Data\Cache\Dalvik x3
5. Flashed midNIGHT ROM v2.9 and rebooted
6. Then I used Quick Boot to get to CW2.5
7. Flashed ext4-format-nojournal-1.1.zip
8. Reflashed midNIGHT ROM v2.9 and rebooted
9. Used Quick Boot to CW2.5 and flashed theme.zip and others.

The No Journal instructions say to backup and then restore, but I didn't do it as I think that is to restore applications that were previously installed in another ROM, but I maybe wrong. Still it worked!

New ptfdmedic instructions for v2.9.2:
1) Odin back to Stock DK28 (not extended version)
2) Do the oneclickroot with CW2.5 redirector
3) Flash midNIGHT ROM v2.9 and let it boot
4) Using Quickboot boot into recovery (this should now be CW2.5.5.2)
5) Flash the no journaling/EXT4 formatter
6) Flash midNIGHT v2.9.2 and enjoy.
7) Boot up and then flash oneclickroot w/CW3

Guess my instructions are a bit off compared to ptfdmedic new ones. I still don't get why you start from a CW2.5 base as I used CW3 from the start and everything worked fine. Going to start from scratch and follow the new instructions.
