Yes odin to DK28, booted and ran CW3, then booted into CW3 and let it do its thing, once done flashed the No Journal Mod, then the v2.9.2 ROM afterwards. Gets only to Samsung screen after that.

Sure it can be found HERE but I am not flashing that zip just yet.

Yes the theme.zip works fine, but my problem is using all CW3, just doesn't work as it doesn't pass the Samsung boot screen after doing the No Journal Mod followed by v2.9.2 ROM. I guess I will give up for now and live with the quick boot not working properly on my phone.

I just flashed 2.9.2 and the CW redirector is broken on mine too. I haven't gotten around to trying the no journal mod, maybe this weekend.....

Re: midNIGHT ROM v2.9.2 EXT4 CW3 Redirect 1/19/2011

Okay, in addition to the broken redirector in quickboot I've got an issue that I'm not sure if it has been covered.

Whenever the phone first boots after the 2.9.2 install all of my apps from the market download and install like they are supposed to. However, later I'll go back into the market and check my "installed apps" and they'll all just show up as free and not installed; however, they are definitely installed as they are in the app drawer and will open. I can then reinstall each one of them again and they'll change status in the market. The only problem I have with this is if they aren't showing installed in the market then I won't be notified when there are updates available.

I first had this issue when I just flashed 2.9.2 over 2.9. I figured that something was screwy so I odin'd back to dk28 and followed all the instructions with and I'm still having the issue. I'm just not sure if this is an isolated problem or is anybody else experiencing this as well?

Odin is the program that Samsung uses to flash ROMs on new handsets, and its a lifesaver for the Epic because it makes it almost impossible to brick.

First go here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/sprint-epi...l-tar-md5.html

Read and follow the instructions on that thread and it will get you you need. The big thing to ensure is that the Samsung drivers are installed before you start.
