i used this to flash modem and way better than odin but that modem gave me lots of problems.

Can I just flash the rom and not the modem? Also, flashing the modem fixes the gps problem right? But doing so you risk breaking the radio? Clue me in.

One more question. Can I flash the modem with only my epic? With no pc? Any tool out there thay will allow me to flash it with just the phone?

you can flash the rom by itself with clock work. you dont need the modem.
that being said the modem does not really brick anything or break the radio. there are already roms posted that have this modem to flash with it. the whole breaking the modem thing was concocted by the original leak holders because they were pissed that someone else got the leak.
yes, you need a pc to flash the modem.

Wow! Austin, is this true? Has it been proven? Or just rumors? Pretty llamaish if the moden does prove to brick radios. But even worse if the devs got got hiding leaks. Waterboard anyone?

it was said in irc that it was all bs and that the reason the 1 phone that supposedly got bricked while flashing this was during the odin flash and that could have been anything going wrong. the other guy who supposedly got a brick only had a soft brick that was easily fixed.
anyway, like i said, there is another rom even posted here using this dk05 modem. its the viperom by bthomas. there are accually really good instructions for flashing this modem in his last post there on the second page.

yes, the modem fixes the gps. the only thing i noticed diffrent in this leak compared to the last one is they moved the homescreen back to the center instead of far left. (which you should like! get it? far left?)
its just overall smother.

IF you guys are talking about the leak modem or DK05 modem that you flash with ODIN... GPS didn't work for me right out the box.. You have to download GPS toolbox from the market use it and it'll work.
