Re: **Baked Snack 1.3 Hero_Over Rom**1.3 ghz overclock %100 Working!! FAAST..

I haven't really noticed a change. I have gotten used to taking my phone off the charger at 8:00 am and plugging it in at night around 10:00 pm and there's always plenty of battery left - usually around 30% or so. I have Wi-Fi at home and at work so maybe that helps with my battery life.

Re: Go to first new post Baked Snack 1.6 "Undisputed" "A2SD,Fastest,Best Battery,Lo

I love the new version of this rom but have found one issue so far. Reading some of the text on the notification window is difficult because it just blends into the bar, such as when you want to see what is playing on Pandora. It appears to specifically be the black text.

Ugh! "blends into the bar" that's because he made the notifications transparent... who would've thought that it'll be good for our eyes... especially if my favorite background happens a stock wallpaper (sand and stone.) with black notification bar and all text and letters are white. I'm not ready for this. Right now I'm on the syndicate rom and juice defender does just as good as without when paired with setcpu.. and a good firewall like HiSurfing.. anyway sorry for going off topic. I'll come back and check it out when I see some good results (meaning more positive feedback than the negative ones I'm pretty sure the op needs it) Thank you.

you seem to hate on the epic so why not others work, read a thread about you hating the epic but imo this rom is fine and you can always change themes. the cook is even willing to convert other themes to work on his roms.

Re: Go to first new post Baked Snack 1.6 "Undisputed" "A2SD,Fastest,Best Battery,Lo

I am on Baked Snack 1.5... like the ROM generally speaking and the theme... but where I continue to struggle is battery life... not getting more than 10-12 hours with light usage, which is no better than stock... I took my phone off the charger at 10am today after flashing Ultimate kernel, wiped battery stats, and 2 hrs later am at 80% with minimal usage... don't get it... anything I can check or should change to fix this? Have setcpu set to 200-1200 and nothing else really running (ie no juice defender, no advanced task killer, etc)...

Um.. I'm not hating. It's the truth. So.. well the truth is I'm still learning.. The truth is I managed to flash into a syndicate rom thinking nothing can go wrong but a few hiccups here and there. I managed to flash the modem and mobile app infrastructure in that rom and when I go into settings... wireless and networks... there it is... Mobile AP... I tap on it.. and it forced closed on me. WTF did I do wrong? According to this post: xda-developers - View Single Post - [MOD] MobileAP Vibrant/Captivate/i9000/Epic

mobile ap will not work on AOSP roms.. how do I know if a rom is an AOSP rom?

EDIT: on the syndicate rom.. the lock screen is my favorite! If that indeed an aosp rom then I have to flash to a different one (preferably one that is stripped of all the sprint and stock roms that I can add later if I wanted to) another app I like the ES file explorer.. that I tried to backup before flashing to clockwork recovery mod again but no sign of the apk anywhere.. its version 1.4.6 the OP was right it's better than Astro. But I paid for this app.

AOSP means stock android..but MobileAP won't work unless the rom has TouchWiz in there.

TouchWiz...? Are you talking about the homescreen// like adw and launcher pro// TouchWiz from Samsung? I got rid of that via titanium backup as I prefer launcher pro (the paid version) but is it the one causing MobileAP to FC? Just now flashed to Baked Snack 1.6 with the 1st kernel. The droid beating up the apple...seriously? My wife owns an iphone4 now. I'd opt for a more clean look like syndicate...

and fyi if it helps I went into settings, about phone:

firmware v: backed-snack-1.6
baseband v: D700.0.5S.DI18
kernel v: 2.6.29
build number: sph-d700-baked-kernel-undisputed-step1

I tried flashing with modem zip and the MobileAP zip when the syndicate rom was installed... the touchwiz was included and still had no luck. what am I doing wrong? something tells me that the firmware should be 2.2 for it to work... or does it matter?
