I appreciate all the kind words and thoughts yall. I do apologize for the wait for a response. But things have been hecktic with work and trying to get things taken care of. Again thank you all for the support!

I agree about they have a big chance of wanting to return to the scene, and if these idiots do that, yeah they will not survive. Were going to get a license to carry a weapon and takinh shooting classes. The cops have tracked names and adresses of numbers they r calling. Just trying to figure out who the house owner and cell phne owners know that's calling there. I am not giving ujp, but yeah Im being really safe. Never home alone, even if it looks like I am. I found out today while were gone to work, people are or were hanging out on our front porch. Theres no telling what else they did while cars weren't passing. I gotta catch this bc it really pisses me off! Well thanks again everyone!

That is the absolute best thing you can do. And do it as fast as possible. Now i'm not sure on NC law, but you should be able to carry it in your own house all you want, with or without a license. I definitly recommend taking classes though. The thing is, keep it on you and very close by when in bed. It would do no good if you have to run thru 3 rooms to get to it.

This sucks for you guys i would hate to get robbed and at gun point i would be so mad idk. but first thing i would do is what you guys are is getting a gun. people are crazy these days.

yeah, we had a gun the first night, just not until after it happened, lol. Now we are protected and prepared, never not being safe!!! Can't wait until our lease is up, we'll be outta here in a flash!

I would think the "we got robbed at gunpoint at your place" line would be a valid reason to break a lease. I really hope these guys get caught so it'll be easier to put part of this behind you.

If you can get the numbers of who they called, then you (or police rather) can call with a reward offer. "anyone that's willing to turn in the thieves can remain anonymous as well as get $xxx"

Also, someone mentioned a valid point in regards to being able to break lease due to "safety" issues. I don't think the landlord would want a shootout there anymore than you do, and if you're not there when/if the thieves come back then there is less chance of this occuring. Also just you being there now is bad publicity, as you have ability to tell your story to more and more neighbors. Your departure from there should be quite welcome, especially if you already have some neighbors vouching for the suspicious activity still occuring in front of your apartment.

...and NEVER forget... the 6700 can double as a powerful bomb (blunt object missile block) ... Use it wisely.

Mike and Courtney, I too am very sorry for what has happened to you two! My place was burglarized and I lost over 11,000.00 worth! I now raise American Pit Bull Terriers, and all have Champions in there pedigrees. If you two would like, if somebody can pay the shipping and crate my wife and I will ship you a young dog for you to house train. This my friend will detour there next visit! Thanks, JAS
