As of 3:58PM Eastern Time in Northeast Ohio (Youngstown/Cleveland area), all is well... and I'm glad it's back and faster than ever! Great stuff!

Awesome job guys, site is way faster. Has anybody had any problems with dropped connections when uploading to the FTP site? I have tried about 10 times to upload a 40MB file and every time it gets about half way done it loses the connection. Tried a couple different programs and machines all with the same effect.

Yeah, I am having the same issue. I get a 301 Timeout error when trying to upload a ROM.

I'm not even able to connect to the ftp site.

The FTP server is still on DreamHost (the old host), so they might be having issues again.

are you using VSFTP?

And don't forget to forward the ports (ftp)... I forgot to do that a while back and all the teachers at the school were wondering why the email was dead slow

We didn't touch the DNS settings for up.ppcgeeks.com (the FTP URL), so there's no ports to forward or anything. ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com still points directly to the old server.

The only thing I hate about the new server is on the old serverPPCGeeks worked at work, and it blocks the new server.

Edit: you guys don't know any good proxy's, do you? I really don't feel like writing a letter to corprate HQ about how PPCGeeks is a useful reasorce and wait for them to decide to do something.

Are you going to continue using dreamhost to host the ftp? Or are you going to move them locally (to the new server)? The CompTIA Network+ book says that it offsite primary storage is not recommended... It doesn't say why though.
