Actually, the correction of memory shortage issues is probably due to a Touch Player bug fix.

Hadn't thought of that. Makes sense though seeing as CC20 (this official upgrade's great-grandaddy) didn't increase storage space, so this one might not either since the two ROMs are likely quite similar

I did note that the new one is CF03.

Suppose I use Resco Backup to make a full backup....can I use that to restore everything after upgrading to CF03?

Also, it says it will erase all data....does that include My Storage? I would assume not, but.....

I wouldn't recommend it. There are probably several registry changes buried deep in the CF03 ROM that differ from the older CC20 ROM that most of us are currently using, and doing a full backup would probably overwrite those and cause problems.

Nobody can say for sure, though, since we can't see the update yet.

Just do a PIM backup for the criticial info instead, and then rebuild everything from scratch
