Re: Sashimi and the Omnia

Ah, I totally missed the easy way to reinstall Sashimi... thanks!

I'm not sure that you can do a reg edit for location on... would be nice to get some kind of Macro program to do it maybe?

But heres where i see a problem. Cabs that are installing from file:sashimi\auto\cabs are by default going to install to my storage (because thats where sashimi is installed). When these cabs run, they never prompt to ask where I want to install the app (unlike any time you install a cab it asks device,my storage, or storage card). So how could I run an auto file and force it to install to the device? Actually as I was typing this I think i answered my question...

Confirmation anyone?...

[AutoFile]

InstallLocation=0

WindowTitle="m2d"

[ScriptCommands]

1=SendLeftSoft

2=Sleep(5000)

3=SendCR

Because the install location is set to 0 this should fix things right? Ok so the auto file will run tandem with the m2d cab install right. So the auto file will tell sashimi install to device. The install location screen will prompt than the script will say to press left soft key (selecting device) then pause for 5 sec. than hit enter. Should work right? Came right out of the sashimi documentation.
Ok so quoting myself here... If you have had the same question as above, Than the above auto file will work. I tried it installing m2d, and it worked like a charm. See I like the vanilla roms cause all the goodies but I also love the m2d interface so i like to install it after the fact.

So i Will use that to segway to my next question... does anyone have any idea how to retain m2d's setup after a flash. I.E. the people page have my contacts mapped out, And the programs page already mapped out. It is possible in theory i think as long as i sync my contacts first and then do whatever the solution for this is. Right?

Re: Sashimi and the Omnia

Has anyone figured out how to get the username and PW for Facebook or Google maps (latitude) to fill in with Sashimi?

Played around with this for a while and no luck. Tried exporting a few different ways. Tried backing up every reg entry I could find relating to latitude and google maps for that matter (use lat but not facebook). Maybe its something not possible.

Let me know what you find cause Im curious too. I suspect that the same fix for this would work on other things like emoze and such.

Re: Sashimi and the Omnia

My question is probably going to be pointed at anyone that has backed up their exchange server info from work or someone that works in an IT dept.

I created a xml for my jobs exchange server as shown in SASHIMI BASICS O1 tutorial but it was the pop.server exampl.. So can anyone tell me if that is all I need to do or should I be looking somewhere for for certificates and what not?

Re: Sashimi and the Omnia

I don't recall the Basics 01 tutorial. However, i did follow the tutorial for the Exchange Server and the only issues i had is my Exchange server didn't have a Certificate so, it required 1 a manual step after Sashimi ran. I then created a Cert for my server and loaded that to Sashimi and put in the Cert folder. and now it's fully automated

I Admin my Exch. Server so it was an easy fix.

Now, you stated that you did the POP.server Example, that is obviously different from the Exchange Tutorial.

FYI, i use(d) both EXCH and POP and it sets up just fine.
