Re: Sashimi and the Omnia

So I'm totally late to this party, but I just tried Sashimi today. Got the cabs installation down...though I wish it would do auto then manual instead of the other way around, but that's alright. Now I have to start getting into the registry and finding all the keys that end up changing. Seems like quite the daunting task!!!

Re: Sashimi and the Omnia

How do I export just the identifed changed REG file? I'm using WinDiff to identify the exact strings that change with a given setting change. When I use PHM reg edit it doesn't allow me to export the single string. No luck with resco either?

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious. I can export the entire folder containing the various strings...Just not the individual strings themselves.

You can't export just a string value. You'll need to export the folder that contains it

Find the difference in phm and copy and paste to a notepad doc. add the header information.

Re: Sashimi and the Omnia

I want to save my Start Menu icon order and the custom icon images I've picked for them. Would the below reg folder contain information on both position and have the icon image? Or do I need to have Sashimi copy the icon folder I'm using for them?

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start]
I changed my Opera icon and this is what my registry looked like:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\ Opera Browser.lnk]
"Icon"="\\My Storage\\Program Files\\reSTART\\icons\\Opera.png"
"Rank"=dword:000003C3

So it appears to save the icon, and the "rank" which I believe is the order it's in on the menu. As long as your icons are on your MY STORAGE, then they should stay there during a flash.
This post has been thanked 1 times.

We shall see. I created a root directory in Sashimi to copy the exact icons folder back to reSTART. It looks like
"Icon"="\\My Storage\\Program Files\\reSTART\\icons\\Opera.png"
is directing where to pull the image file from.

This is mine "Icon"="\\Program Files\\reSTART\\icons\\Facebook.png"
Because I have reSTART saved to My Device.

Thanks

The only thing it didn't do was move programs to the utility folder that I had customized.

Re: Sashimi and the Omnia

When exporting your reg settings via PHM, what type of file are you saving it as? On my omnia it gives me options to save it as WinCE Registrations Files, Win RegEdit 5, and Win RegEdit 4.... I read somewhere that the .reg file has to have a specific heading at the top in order sashimi to import it correctly.

I haven't had any luck importing my titanium settings with sashimi so any help would be great...
