I'm not so sure the Omnia will share the SCH-U740 plugs. A couple of websites I've looked at show different chargers/adapters for the U740 and the Omnia.

Of course, coughing up a few bucks for new accessories is a small price to pay IMHO.

Without a doubt. I'm one of several Network Administrators at my company and could certainly make life miserable for the rest of the enterprise. Of course, I had to buy my own Omnia. The company provided device is a cheap Motorola flip phone POS.

Re: Omnia worth it?

omnia imo is the best for verizon atm,
i am thinking about buying a craigslist BB storm, i heard good things about them,
its either between bb storm and a netbook, cuz don't like caring my 17inch laptop around with me without an extended warranty.
not sure yet,

but defiantly keeping my omnia it is amazing

these phones might be coming out soon http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/Veri...er-c_17_3.html

thing that pisses me off the most about the omnia, is 8 gigs of internal storage...and not 3.5mm headphone jack , not even a 2.5mm headphone jack without the dongle!
means i still carry ipod with me, wish i could of replaced it and sold my ipod lol,
but then again i collect electronic stuff sooo....

Re: Omnia worth it?

I really don't think the adaptor for the headphones is that big of a deal, I don't listen to music "on the go" very much but all it does is add some length to the headphone cord, and I don't even think about the connector. If the length bothers you, Brando sells this accessory for the i900, a 3.5mm jack adaptor that's only a couple of inches long.

Oh, and the Omnia is amazing. It's my first PPC and so far I'm thrilled with everything I can do with it. It's a good device out of the box, but flash another ROM and it will be leaps and bounds faster.

Run from it! Development errors all across the board, it's more annoying than the i220. Something is just not right with the Omnia...

Re: Omnia worth it?

he's just a troll. Anyway...The only other WM device I have ever owned was the Motorola Q (original) with WM5.0. And the omnia is leaps and bounds above that one.

That's not quite correct. The Omnia will charge from a usb charger using the usb cable that comes with the phone but only if the Omnia is powered off. You'll know it's charging because it displays a battery icon in the middle of the screen.

Re: Omnia worth it?

Tgreenstein, thanks for the clarification. I tried it once when the phone was on and it didnt' charge, so I bought a car-charger. Nice to know though!
