Someone at Modaco posted that the new keyboard does work with the new googlemaps. (the old one only works for letters in xt9 mode. Nothing at all in ABC mode.)

That would be awesome if it works, although I'm really NOT looking forward to having to install and configure everything again.

I'll wait for you brave beta testers to report back before I take the plunge.

yeah i just determined that i would wait myself
cause apparently its been establish that a telus rom is going to be uploaded and the telus phones gps does work!
im not going to flash, have problems and still have no GPS!!

I'm able to type in Google maps with no issue.
