Re: i910 MMS Picture Resize Problem [Fixed]
Using this method posted by justinsimison:
The ONLY changes required are: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Samsung\MMS\Settings Change "UAProf" value to: http://uaprof.vtext.com/utstar/xv68k/xv68k.xml Change "UserAgent" value to: utstar68kv1 I can now get picture messages in bigger form. The largest I have gotten yet was one at 137K at 1600 x 1200 pixels. This is MUCH better than the original 22K files I used to get. Just now I sent myself a picture and it came in at 96K. Can anyone CAB up this REG edit for easy install for other people? |

Re: i910 MMS Picture Resize Problem [Fixed]
I should also mention that all of my testing across four different Omnia's was done on Adrynalyne's 2.0 CF03 6.5 firmware. If it's not working for you, it could well be a 6.5 vs. 6.1 thing.
Sandman, I would certainly uninstall Arcsoft. These reg edits accomplish exactly the same thing without adding the undesirable elements of Arcsoft. I'm glad it's working for some of you, at least. - Justin |

Re: i910 MMS Picture Resize Problem [Fixed - Updated 9-29-09]
Thanks for the simpler fix Justin! I've done a hard reset on my phone and updated the registry values above and tested sending/receiving larger pics without a problem. I updated my 1st page to include a direct link to your Post #42 and updated the thread title as well.
Now for another quirk lol. Is there any way with the stock Samsun messaging (non-threaded conversations) to have MMS and SMS go to just one freakin Inbox? Arcsoft received all SMS and MMS into one Inbox and I really got used to that. Now if I could get the Samsung messaging to do the same I'd be a much happier person! |

Re: i910 MMS Picture Resize Problem [Fixed]
Thats a possibility. I am using th stock CF03 firmware. It currently has the key values you noted and I previously tried the i760 values and all receive images are postage stamps.
