Re: New Ominia User Questions

Thank you for your responses. I called Verizon and asked customer service about the ringtones and the rep that I got said I couldn't log into the account because my phone wasn't eligible because it was not a "Get It Now" phone so he said he would cancel ringback tones off my account. I was listening to him but I am glad that I am on this site because I was disappointed. I have called Verizon back and I am still cannot log into the rignback tone section off the website so tech support suggested logging on from a different computer so I will not be able to find out whether or not I can access the account until this evening. That has been my intial problem, I can't log in to buy ringback tones. Hopefully, that will be resolved soon thanks to you letting me ringback tones work.

I do not mind paying for good programs if there are other good TV apps, I would be willing to spend some money but maybe not the $200 for slingbox right now.

I have enabled flash on my phone but I still cannot view videos yet. It still gives me the flash error message and nothing comes up. Is there any other flash programs that will work with the Omnia?

I will try the ringtone program listed here. Thanks again, you are a big help.

Ringback tones doesn't require Get It Now to work, its weird how some of those techs just don't know sh*t...

they told me the same crap when I upgraded from my Lg V. to the 700w...but they were still working...in fact the only time it didn't work is when I got a replacement XV6800...and even then one of those idiots tried to tell me it doesn't work with my phone, I said it has been working up until I got this replacement phone...! anyway it works just stay on it...

Re: New Ominia User Questions

When I made a call to Verizon day before yesterday asking about ringback tones, she told me that the old ones I had would still work, and I could still manage them, but that I couldn't purchase new ones.

I don't know if this has to do with the computer I am on, but I was unable to listen to previews of ringback tones, only the ringtones (if they sold one for both).

Those that have done it through the web...if you already have an account, will you need to create a new one since the handset has changed? Doesn't make any sense that a "smart phone" can't accommodate ringback tones...

With the Omnia u can't get ringback tones thru ur phone....but you can still manage and purchase new ringback tones thru the web application, remember you need to add ringback tones to ur account, (.99 cents a month) and then sign in to the ringback tones page...I have had ringback tones since the Palm 700w don't let Verizon tell you it doesn't work on ur phone...IT DOES
