Re: My Omnia experience (so far)
Steve...how long have you had the Omnia now? There is a 'conditioning' time with the battery (the first week or so I went through the battery pretty fast, but now I can go 2-3 days on a full charge), but there is a history of a batch of Omnias being released with faulty batteries...you may want to look into getting the battery swapped out with VZW and see what that does for you.

Not sure if they can check it, but they should be able to swap it out for you. From what I have heard it is a common issue. I have seen a lot of posts of people swapping out batteries like that.

Really? That's a choice???? (not that there is anything wrong with that!!)
*Sorry....I couldn't resist that one!!!!! Let us know how it goes...it may take a bit to condition the battery, but I am thinking you should get better results (unless you have a power-draining app we haven't seen yet)!! |

Re: My Omnia experience (so far)
Yeah... your battery does suck.
Today, I pulled mine off the charger... had a pair of 10 minute phone calls, surfed the web for 10-15 minutes, then listened to music for an hour and a half during a plane ride. When I turned the phone back on after landing, the battery still showed 100%!!!! I called voicemail, and after that 3 minute call, the level finally dropped to 80%. Its been at 80% since then, and I've talked for an additional 20 minutes on it. Yeah... a good battery ROCKS!!! |
