That will take care of the icon for any 'mistaken' clicks, but I would suggest a backup after you do it, after a hard reset the icon will come back, it is part of the ROM....one of the reasons I can't wait for custom ROMs to be able to be cooked.....I would love to lose them entirely...I have NO need for them!!!!

We have to wait for Samsung/VZW to release an update (promised already, so probably won't be long). After that, people will be able to work with the updated ROM and cook new/custom ones!!

I am not sure about the science of it, but I guess it is hard (if even possible) to extract a ROM from the device, so when an updated ROM is released that is when you start seeing kitchens popping up and ROMs all over the place!!!

And speaking of custom ROMs, it's hard to find a good base for the CDMA Omnia, but there could be one out there as they do need to start off by coming out with official updates for it as well. Maybe we as the users should speak out to Samsung about these firmware updates sometime.
