The 20 to 30 bucks for WifiRouter or PDAnet is worth it for a stable connection that works.

Re: Verizon Omnia 2 I920 Tethered Finally!
I just want to thank all those that took the time to post and give us a solution. It took me a bit of head scratching and a few concerned raised eyebrows, but I did eventually get both the WiFi router ability and direct USB connection to work on my Omnia SCH-i920. I am posting this via tethering. Thanks again.

Re: Verizon Omnia 2 I920 Tethered Finally!
sorry to be a thread necro...but I got WMwifirouter 2.0 and it installs and connects and says there is a network (WMWifirouter_2766) but my nook doesn't see it...what am I missing, am I supposed to be connected to my computer? My internet sharing works fine when tethered USB. But I want my phone to work as a hotspot without a computer so my nook can get internet through it...

I released a ROM that utilizes a new Samsung Application called MobileAP, its WIFI Routing but it is Samsung Style. Check it out.
