It's definitely possible, as I'd done it several times before(I had to hard reset yesterday so I forgot how to do it).

It basically makes the text compose screen like the email compose screen, to where there's no screen buttons to push.

Well, next time write it down and let's get it on top of this thread. That would be huge, as I hate the standard composition screen.

Re: Haus Intrepid Tips and Tricks

I think it may come about as a result of some registry tweaks, or using smarttweaker. I know every time I've hard reset, when i started setting my phone up like before, eventually i notice that the composition screen is the basic one.

Re: Haus Intrepid Tips and Tricks

Use the program "SMS-Chat" for a smooth/easy SMS interface. It integrates well into Winmo messaging...

Re: Haus Intrepid Tips and Tricks

Post 4 has been updated with a locking program that seems to work better than my old solution with fewer (zero?) double-locks.

Re: Haus Intrepid Tips and Tricks

Where is the setting to allow you to hold down a key for texts and it keeps entering it, instead of having to do it manually?

Hmm...I still get double locks despite uninstalling the other two locking programs. Plus, now my phone locks during phone calls...which is a pain when I am calling an automated system and have to punch in additional numbers because I have to unlock my phone EVERY time. I even double checked and I do NOT have "Incall lock" selected.

I went ahead and switched back to the two program solution.

Thanks for you constant work.

Re: Haus Intrepid Tips and Tricks

That's fair. I get rare double locks. With the earlier solution I got them constantly (100% of the time, no fail) - it was driving me insane. Because I'd unlock the phone, then wait to see if it double locked, and then when I thought I was safe enough to do anything else it would lock again.

I have the incall lock on and haven't tried turning it off yet. I will keep experimenting. There are more recent versions of that program, but I worry about feature creep. No one makes a simple locking program that just works without adding a bunch of other crap (unlock when music playing, light sensors, etc.)

Sorry that it's not the ultimate solution....by the time I find it I'll have switched phones.

Edit: decided I'm going to try pocketshield again...will update with results. That was really the only solution for the touch pro

Re: Haus Intrepid Tips and Tricks

Just going to try LockDevice 1.6 on its own, set to lock on wake. Anyone else doing this? Have you noticed double locks?

I haven't tried S2U2 yet...I've watched it grow up but it seems I'm always hearing complaints about it and my impression was that it was fairly bloated now. At least the built-in WM 6.5 lock, when it works, does a good job...slide to answer works well and it does what it says. It also doesn't unlock on its own the way the old WM "classic" lock does when you get a txt or incoming call.

Sorry this message slipped through the cracks. I don't understand what you mean by holding down a key for texts and it keeps on entering it?

Do you mean holding down the message key (bottom row, 2nd from right) until it opens and begins the process of creating a new SMS?
