As for backups, yea I was just wondering if there was a program that would re-install every program, etc. I'm lazy with that stuff. And lastly, yea I forget Manilla ruins texts and e-mails. I can't wait for this new phone.
The one I linked restores and removes programs yes..it even backups your wifi settings and etc..

I hope I'm understanding your question..but from what I heard the default music player is pretty good and sound wise is louder then say an iphone...but if you really need it to be louder..there is a way...the vibrant is currently set to 88/100 for sound and Captivate is at 92/100...so there is definitely a way to make it louder(but it requires a reset after changing the setting I think)

If you are talking about an Equalizer..its there..

Is this what you were asking?

Re: A Few Questions

Yea pretty much, an equalizer. I forget they had a name before HTC hahaha, I should be ashamed of myself as a musician.

So the music player is all touch friendly and what not, I assume?

To explain it more specifically the Galaxy S series is aiming at the iphone...so they have put quite some work in the media player..they are aiming at the iphone so much they are also going to release a media player based on the Galaxy S(but no cell radio) to compete with the itouch.

Also if you have good headphones, the media player supports outputting 5.1ch audio

here are some pics:
