I read AT&T released their Diamond 2 days early with 6.5 on it. Although I'm not sure through what channels. Their calling it the Pure, also the Tilt2.

so the maketplace app is good to go to use now? not to buy stuff obviously but download free things and play with? And my other concern is what is this going to do to other app vendors such as handango...will they have to compete in price? Or those other vendors will only really carry things not approved into the M$ app store? opinions?

yeah the phone fusion did not work for verizon, probably cuz of their own visual voicemail service. no biggy.

yeah i would like to see some lower prices as well overall. so is everything in marketplace support wvga? or we gonna get screwed payin for something and having a black bar on the screen. wonder how they are going to manage that with all the different screen sizes

I read something somwhere where it stated that if the program won't work on your phone it won't show up in the marketplace, also i was watching a video that explain to the developers how to enter a code that will make the program work with the different screen resolutions. So i don't think this will be an issue

most apps are created to work on all screen sizes. For instance the facebook app. the exact same app i install on my touch pro is the exact app that i installed on my tp2, there are not multiple programs.

How does Windows Marketplace actually work on an Open Platform? The iPhone which is closed platform, Apple can basically add and remove a application from your phone without consent. They completely control what you can or can't do. If WM phones are open platforms how is Microsoft going to be able to control the applications, I already heard that they have a kill switch but I wonder how it will function? I guess they can make you open the marketplace first then chose the app you want within the marketplace making it login to a server to check statuses, but the lack of ram in these devices will probably suffer as a result. Are the marketplace apps even cab files?

Is this something that the cooks can clean up in the kitchens waiting to be released? Once I acquire an app I would like total control over it!

that makes sense. i have just had trouble with certain games, maybe there is more of an issue there than in programs

i agree, more info the better

went into verizon today to add insurance to my phone and i asked about the 6.5 upgrade. either they were playing stupid or just were (probably the latter) they didn't know much about, said you should receive an email with more info when they have the upgrade available, thats it. one girl said to call tech support as they know things before the store does. haven't done that yet. so may not be tomorrow, i think the employees woulda known more bout it, but hopefully soon. at least we can play around with the market place
