Re: Custom Taskbar
Received a PM today asking me if the only way to get help or something made was by donation, the answer is No. Donations are much appreciated but are not required from me. When I first started this it was because I enjoy doing this and still do. I am sorry that I have not been around much lately its due to primarly work. Things are slowing down and almost to the point to where I can jump back in here and start making new taskbars and monitor the questions more often but please do not feel as if I am waiting on a donation to help you or create something. I try to do it as time permits. If I have promised you something or you need something please shoot me a PM reminding me of what it is.
Also donations go towards software that help me create these taskbars or images for those who are wondering where any of the funds goes towards. Last edited by tsowen; 11-12-2009 at 11:18 PM. |

Re: Custom Taskbar
If you are GSM there is no way to change your signal bars unless you upgrade to WM 6.5. The bars are a rendored image that cannot be changed same with taskmanger for Wm 6.1, in 6.5 there is a way to change the taskmanager by using an older version of the HTC Taskmanager, it is a little buggy but that's the trade off for having a colorful icon.

Re: Custom Taskbar
My Outlook Mobile is version 1.0.0.7051. do you have the icons I am speaking of? If you have this version and have the icons then I may have to start over with a hard reset.
Thanks in advance, boB |

Re: Custom Taskbar
I examined the outres.192.dll that comes with the taskbars. It is dated 3/30/2009. The ont on my device is dated 11/02/2009. There are new bitmaps, icons, RCDATA elements. I'm not sure exactly how to do the whole cab thing but here is a visual representation of the differences.
I have attached a screen shot of the resources in both dll's. Also if someone would like to extract the new icons, bitmaps, and RCDATA I have attached the outres.192.dll dated 11/02/2009 as well. |

Re: Custom Taskbar
So I used visual studio to copy the new icons, bitmaps and RCDATA elements to outres.192.dll. And now I can install custom taskbars. I just have to recopy the outres.192.dll after I install the taskbar. Then I have all the functionality back!

Re: Custom Taskbar
Can someone please help me out here? I posted 3 other posts but never really got any help. Would really appreciate someone helping me with this.
I installed tsowentaskbar6v2.1(lite).zip on my TP2 Verizon 6.1 stock rom. Before I installed this I always had the 3G symbol and now its always EV. If I uninstall tsowentaskbar6v2.1(lite).zip its back to 3G again. I see in the picture there is the 3G symbol in this taskbar so why is it that it wont show up? My other question is can someone upload the original nuepowerdriver from the first post in this thread? The links to the one there are all dead ends so to speak? (there are new versions of nuepowerdrive) I have tried nueBatteryTP2CDMA-100-v1.0-cab.cab from this link Code:

Re: Custom Taskbar
You need to the correct driver for the TP2 which is here http://www.nuerom.com/nueDownload/download.aspx?id=166
As for the 3G symbol I am not sure what is going on why your phone is reading the wrong icon from the tapres.192.dll tonight I will take a look at the taskbar you have and see what is in there. Check back here in the morning for an update/fix to your problem. Also if you visit the Touch Pro 2 forum and view this thread you will find the battery drivers cab file for the TP2 there also http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=78019 |
