My real question is regarding the start icon. I followed the link provided that shows how to customize the start menu but the thread talks about shellres.96.dll.0409.mui but I have only a shelres.192.dll.0409.mui. Also, when I rename the .mui file and add .bak, the system immediately creates a new .muii file and when I try to copy the new file over, it tells me I can't. I am using Resco File Explorer 2008. I ran the Icone Demarrer.cab before trying to do this. Can someone help me with this?
Rename the mui file to shellres.192.dll.0409.mui but don't soft reset yet. This will keep the system from creating a new one. Then place your new one into the /Windows directory then soft reset.

What up owen, my fellow SAY town neighboor. I'm trying to get a custom start icon on Mighty's Rom but I am having trouble with it. I tried crazylilboys and it didn't work. It does replace the shellres file that's already in windows, but when I soft-reset it doesn't do anything to it...

Change the 96 from the new file to the 192. That worked for me. Then delete it. Make sure you notice the file sizes so you know which one is which.

Re: Custom Taskbar

Hi guys I install the tsowentaskbar3 for qvga (made for gadgetfreak) in my artemis. It change everything except the signal icons. How can I do to change this icons? I already copy the cdma_rssi_ppc.dll in windows?
Maybe I need to change some registry?

check to see if you have the shellres.192.dll or the shellres.192.dll.0409.mui if you have both then rename the shellres.192.dll.0409.mui to shellres.192.dll.0409.mui.bak and soft reset your phone should read the shellres.192.dll then.

The CDMA dll won't do anything for you. Since you are with Q2, I'm assuming that you are GSM. Please try to add the 3 dlls in the attached zip. This should work better for GSM with a full matching set of icons.. Unfortunately, no one has found a way to change the signal bars yet for GSM phones...

OK, so I just did a hard reset because I turned my windows folder into a mess lol... Startin fresh up. So on Mighty's ROM 4.14 the only one that is showing right now is > shellres.192.dll.0409 < it doesn't have the .mui at the end, but when I click on it, it opens the "Open With" window and there it does have the .mui at the end.

I am trying to do crazylilboys vista icon, but his only has shellres.192.dll.

I don't wanna try anything until I know what I am doing wrong. I don't want to have shellres files all over the place lol.

Do I just add the .dll.0409 to lilboyz? or do I add the .mui to the original windows shellres?

Hope I can get it right this time.

Yes just add the .0409.mui to the end of his shellres.192.dll on your current one at the .bak to the end once you have done all of this THEN soft reset.
