How to: Replace WM Splash/Boot Screen

Ok I still can't rename or replace the file. I can see it on my pc now but can't do anything with it.

Ok, here's what you need to do.
You download the splash screen you want to you PC. You rename that file to "welcomehead.96.png"

You then connect your PPC Phone to your PC via active sync. You then copy the file you downloaded to "My Documents" on your phone.

You then use Resco File Explorer to navigate to the file you had just put on your phone.

You copy or cut. You then navigate to the /windows directory on your phone, and do a paste.

You will get a message to confirm you want to replace "welcomehead.96.png" you click on ok.

Soft reset the phone and see the new splash screen.

ok dl this works the best http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/explorer/ install the cab on your phone.... then the the file u want to w/e pic rename it on your pc then i put the file in my doc. on my phone the i use resco to find the file in my doc then you cut it and paste it in your windows folder on your phone then soft rest and u will see it...u dont rename the file in your windows folder u rename the dl pic too the one in your windows folder

ok as far as i kno you cant change the radio splash screens unless you cook a custom rom.

Here's a Darth Vader startup animation, still need to clean up the lightsaber, add a cool background and take out the "Mobile Windows 6.1" tag; but personally I love the red lightening coming from it....
