Re: Android Vs TP2
Haha, so that really is it? I'm not refuting what you're saying, just surprised.
So Android can now do anything Windows Mobile can do? But Android is more customizable? How so? (I'm genuinely curious, not being sarcastic). |

Re: Android Vs TP2
the android is very smooth. I have both hero and tp2.
I love android interface much more, for example the widgets you can customize on as many screens as you like, then save that layout and start a new one. and load the other one when ever necessary. I have one for work and one for home. Its much smaller and not a keyboard which has it drawbacks. tons of free apps already and more keep coming out. Hero has youtube, and supports all google app, loading contacts from tweeter and facebook into contacts was a breeze. It has all the sprint programs as well, navigations and what not. I'm hoping that we can have android ported to tp2, then I would be a very happy camper. |

Re: Android Vs TP2
I think multiple home screens in which any any shortcut, contact, app, or widget can be placed, and in any order/arrangement is above what my version of WM can do. And this is aside from the themes.
As for the other guy, I don't know about tethering, but I thought I read PDAnet had a program out for that, like they do for WM. And I'm pretty the Hero has a Youtube app just like my TP2. As far as flash goes, I've never been able to see flash content, but that's supposed to change in '10 with Adobe's new mobile release, which includes WM and Android OS. Finally, I like my Sprint nav and TV, which I would still get. So to summarize, I can get the same functionality I require, but have the ability to customize my multiple homescreens to suit my needs. Seems like a good situation to me. Edit - ^ yes, an Android port to TP2 would be a dream come true! Awesome looking phone, awesome keyboard, and what's shaping up to be awesome OS! |

ms3.5 is a rip off of some of the android features. I guess you could, but the android os is way smoother with tons of more apps and what not. Havint to install all that on Winmo to even kinda compete with the android , no thanks. |

Also, is there a TV Out Option? I do enjoy this feature on my TP and TP2. Lastly, I know that 2.0 is far better than 1.0, but i really like HTC's Sense UI. I would assume that this cannot overlay all android OS's correct? For instance, on the Moto. Limited to HTC only? |

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)
I didn't go for the Hero because u lose the tp2 keyboard and exchange on the Hero doesn't sync Tasks.I really like the tp2 hardware though the screen technology on the Hero also seems really good. Waiting for android device with tp2 keyboard. |
