The TP2 came out on all carriers and it wasn't a year old with no indications of coming to US soil like the HD. Even HTC said it wasn't coming. And if they did mask it under a different name, you'd still be able to figure something out from the dimensions and specs. Last but not least, if they got approval and released it a month later, that would be near christmas time. With the HD2 targeting Q1 2010 it seems odd to me Sprint would pick up the HD so late. I've been drooling over the HD for quite a while. Although it's outdated, it's still better than what we can get now. It would be a nice surprise (I'm all for it) but I don't see any indications of it releasing here or anywhere this late.

I agree, it's not superior in any way (except size by a bit). Have read here or there about no official 6.5 upgrade for the HD but I could be wrong. But if that's true, there's even less of a chance for Sprint to release a year old device without 6.5.
