Well AT&T did just get their version of the Touch Diamond 2 so it won't be that late if sprints gets it now.

I still think the imagio or maybe even the HTC hd2 is coming soon why I dont tihnk the diamond 2 is simple "CDMA version of the imagio exists why not just use that" and on the htc hd2 well thats a high profile phone... and the diamond 1 sales sucked bad so maybe sprint decided to get something better for once

Well maybe VZW has like a 3-4 month exclusive on the Imagio so they can't use it? I really doubt Sprint is getting the HD2, now the HD1 I can see that. BTW the HD1 has like a 3.8in(or was it 4in?) screen vs the Imagio's 3.6in screen.

There is no CDMA HD. Also there is no reason for them to release a phone that is over a year old. A whitestone has a better chance of coming to Sprint than an HD.

as far as we know.. unless you have been inside the factory or are a major playing in HTC you have no idea what they have in store

Except, whitestone offers nothing over the HD, besides maybe a smaller size. They both have the same cpu, same quality screen and resolution(granted there is a size difference), not to mention the HD has a little more space for your files. Just give the HD an official WM6.5 update/UI update and its still a fairly competitive device, and if you like a larger screen, while no HD2, it could be better than the whitestone. Just saying.

The TP2 came out on all carriers and it wasn't a year old with no indications of coming to US soil like the HD. Even HTC said it wasn't coming. And if they did mask it under a different name, you'd still be able to figure something out from the dimensions and specs. Last but not least, if they got approval and released it a month later, that would be near christmas time. With the HD2 targeting Q1 2010 it seems odd to me Sprint would pick up the HD so late. I've been drooling over the HD for quite a while. Although it's outdated, it's still better than what we can get now. It would be a nice surprise (I'm all for it) but I don't see any indications of it releasing here or anywhere this late.

I agree, it's not superior in any way (except size by a bit). Have read here or there about no official 6.5 upgrade for the HD but I could be wrong. But if that's true, there's even less of a chance for Sprint to release a year old device without 6.5.

all i know is. if sprint gets it. im buting 10 of them.
so when finnally breaks beyond repair. just go to the next.

It makes no sense for them to make a cdma HD for Sprint when there is already a cdma whitestone. If there is, it hasn't hit the FCC yet, meaning by the time it comes out, the HD2 is around the corner on other carriers. That just doesn't seem like a logical move. No?

why woudlo that make no sense?
