i just wish something with a capacitive touch screen and better than a 6 year old arm processor came out on sprint...I'm up for an upgrade in dec and I'm not happy with the selection.

A friend of a friend works at sprint and is testing the HD2 as we speak, got no other info then that. I do doubt the Christmas release date though (and hope with all my heart for it!)

A friend of a friend, huh? I am laughing my *** off. It reminds me about the GPS upgrade for the original Sprint Touch. A friend of a friend at Sprint said it was coming out next week. Then a friend at Sprint said it was coming out the following week. This went on for about 4 months.

Also, Sprint said it was going to release that update 1st quarter. It didn't actually come out until well into the 2nd quarter.

This is how it's going to span out because according to a friend of a friend of mine at Sprint who is a friend of a friend of mine at HTC, the news is quite reliable. It will come out on T-Mobile first. Then 6 months later, HTC will come out with something better than the HTC HD2 (maybe HD3?), then the HD2 will be released by Sprint.

These rumors without evidence are one step below the rumors with fake pictures/flyers (the Tmo HD2 story).

What's next? "The Sprint HD2 is launching Dec 20th 2009, the same day that WiMax will be nationwide and turned on (it's been rolled out in secret at lightning speed)!!!"

For something just 2 months away, and considering HTC's lack of secrecy, there's no way there is an HD2 coming to Sprint in December. It would've already been spied, fondled, previewed without authorization, and splattered across every tech blog by now.

If there is anything coming out in Dec it is an Imagio since Sprint apparently skipped the Diamond2 in favor of something else.
