Re: Hero or TP2

I'm with you , i will have mine on friday from best buy and i wont have to send in the mail in rebate. i dont want to leave winmo because it syncs so well with my pc's. all the office products work so well for me right now with winmo, i hope i have just as much success with android. getting used to the .apk files will be fun too being i have just about every .cab app available already. change will be good, something new to play with and master. Bring it on=D>

Re: Hero or TP2

Has anyone here converted from WinMo to Android? Do you like it or hate it? I have been using WinMo forever and I am obsessed with custom ROMS. I wanted the TP2, but the price difference has me serisouly considering the Hero.

I am also concerned that there just isn't as much 3rd party software for Android. Is there any navigation software for turn by turn directions similar to Garmin XT? How about geotracking software?

Im about to make the switch. For GPS, this phone requires ED plans, which has Sprint Nav turn-by-turn included.

Re: Hero or TP2

Droiddog and Phonedog have both done extensive hands-on videos of the Hero in action. Phonedog has a great 3-part video of a dogfight between the iPhone 3gs and the Hero, and while I don't think the two are really comparable, it goes into great detail showing you all of the amazing features and functionality of the Hero. Droiddog has done a bunch of "Hero Questions" videos that is basically a 5-part video series addressing user submitted questions for the Hero. He's also done some browser vids and a camera vid.

Now, I'm biased towards the Hero, so I don't really want to suggest which to buy. I do encourage you check out the videos I've linked. I've watched many videos on the Touch Pro 2, as well and own an Imagio (temp until Verizon's new Android phones hit the market). If you've seen one video for the Touch Pro 2, you've pretty much seen them all.

I'm just linking the Droiddog/Phonedog channels as I'd have way too many links in here otherwise. Enjoy!
