Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 OR HTC Imagio
So you just don't want a qwerty keyboard?

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 OR HTC Imagio
All I can say about this is that I traded in my Mogul for the Touch, and it was the worst phone decision I have ever made in my life. However, the on screen keyboards on these large WVGA devices are a lot easier to use. I find myself using the one on my TP2 fairly frequently.

Now back to the TP2, yes the on screen keyboard is very nice as I was use to typing on the 2.8 inch screens. Definetly easier on this device, but it is great knowing that the physical keyboard is there and I find myself using it a lot for typing anything more then 2 sentences. I thought I was going to want the Diamond 2 if it was released for Sprint but after using the TP2 for the past 3 weeks, I have no intention of giving up the physical keyboard..... I thought the size of the TP2 was going to bother me and that size was the reason I went with the Diamond over the Pro. But for some reason the size on the TP2 does not bother me at all. It just feels right. I never liked the way the TP felt, it was like short and chunky....The TP2 size is much better distributed in my opinion...... Last edited by eman; 09-28-2009 at 01:30 PM. |

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 OR HTC Imagio
Yeah IMO hardware keyboard is something either you need or you dont. I use putty to ssh to servers that I manage frequently, and email a lot off it so hardware keyboard is mandatory. I won a ipod touch 16gb and spent a great deal of time using it (while I had my mogul). I was able to get fairly proficient on the screen keyboard, and compared to the sometimes glitchy, sticky function key on my mogul it was equal. But now, with this TP2, it just feels right, I donno how many words per minute I'm doing, but I bet its twice as fast as on the ipod or mogul.
Thats just my 2 cents on the keyboard. BUT, If my usage requirements were different I'd probably stick to a "touch only" device. |

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 OR HTC Imagio
The virtual keyboard on the Whitestone will be exactly the same as the one on the TP2. Force yourself not to use the physical keyboard on the TP2 for the next 3 days & see if you can do it. If you can't then stick with the TP2. If can, then the Whitestone will be a no brainer.
