does anyone know how the camer compares? My biggest complaint is how long the TP1 takes to auto-focus. I have read a few reviews and shutter speed has no been mentioned. I almost bought an omnia on craigs ($90) just to have a wifi camera. That camera is badass.

At least they review it thorougly, so you can actually see if it's worth an upgrade or not.

i'm still deciding whether i want to upgrade from my tp or wait for the next best. the higher resolution and bigger screen are great upgrades imo. Plus i love all the finger friendly ui enhancements and oem wm 6.5. The problem is htc releases phones quickly and you know the next model they release will have huge spec improvements. Will i be able to wait 8 months for the next htc model? i hate having to make these decisions, but at the same time i love that there are always new models to choose from.

Well, I am seriously looking at going with the Touch Pro II. To consider the Pre though is just not practical for me. The reason: I am often in areas with NO reception; I do not trust the Internet to always be working; the software I use is not available right now and from reading, reading and reading, it has its own set of issues that frankly are not there with WM.

interesting... what are the major flaws of the pre so far? i'm not even considering it over the touch pro 2 or any other wm phone, so i haven't really looked at any reviews...

I will be willing to shell out the $$ which I guess will be 5-600 plus since I am still to new on my renewed contract, though I am hoping my sales rep will try and fudge something out.

The Pre looks great, but I am hooked on the PC way the HTC TP and TP2 operate, something about having an honest computer in my hand that is so attractive as well as I have some apps that I bought that I would rather not lose, Sims3, SimCity, Accounting Software, TV apps, etc., plus TP and TP2 are not some iced layer that keeps me the OS for from some serious tweaking, hence the Pre/iPhone to me is moot, to many layers to break to get a Mac OS X to run. The Screen size/tilt, a better QWERTY keyboard and the updated HTC interface and 6.5 update to come. All speak worth it. I will keep my TP for app testing at work and abuse it and not the TP2 :)
