Question To Touch Pro2 or Not to Touch Pro2....

That is my question lol, i know that the screen is huge, I love that, and the keyboard I love all the good things but it's the bad things i'm worried about....apart of me is feeling like I will be spendin money on a fone just for a big screen and better speaker. They took away the flash...the processor is older...less ram...worse battery life. Like if it's gonna be an upgrade, then the hardware should be an upgrade not a downgrade, I mean I don't know exactly how noticiable these minuses might be, but I feel there shouldn't be any, cuz it should be an upgrade....so do I keep my hubby, the Touch Pro, or do I switch...but one thing I know, I don't like the Pre...it's kinda gimic-ish to me, I had it for a day and sold it for like 500 on craigslist. It crashes alot and will restart by itself...so wut to do sweethearts???

personnaly i think i'm going to wait for a little while before switching to the tp2 for the simple fact that when the tp came out i went and got one that day and had to have it replaced two time in waiting i hope they will get all the bugs out then i'll go get me one, kinda can't wait either.

im not dropping 400+ on the phone.. therefore i'll see what kind of price+upgrade rebate+any other rebates will be offered.

if its still too much i'll just wait for someone to sell theirs here at ppcgeeks.

Re: To Touch Pro2 or Not to Touch Pro2....

Is the bigger screen and uber better keyboard worth me to pay the outright(yep the base sprint price whatever it may be) yep it is. Lets say 600...yep I will cause from the videos I seen it runs like a wet whipped dog on a cold tuesday(don't ask why that's fast lol) just being able to type better is alone worth the upgrade for me and the screen size screams at iphone users who dog the tp smaller screen. I mean I'm not even sweating the money but if push came to shove I can sale my new tp and my new mogul to make up at least $400

Re: To Touch Pro2 or Not to Touch Pro2....

I'm not falling for the same trick again. I was overly excited for the regular TP last year, and only to be severely let down by the issues the phone had. Would love to have the Diamond2, but if the new Manila can get fully ported and functional on VGA then I'm keeping my Diamond and my money in my pocket.

Re: To Touch Pro2 or Not to Touch Pro2....

I am also undecided about this phone. I got the Touch Diamond as soon as it came out and realized I needed a keyboard, so I waited till the Touch Pro came out and switched. My first initial impression of the Touch Pro was a great phone, but I was anxious for the custom roms to come out. Waited a couple more months and once the custom roms started rolling out, the TP is now in a class of its own.
So here lies the question that I am sure many of us face. Do we change to the new TP2 which will almost certainly have a crummy stock rom and have to wait for the custom roms, or do I just stick it out with the TP?

Re: To Touch Pro2 or Not to Touch Pro2....

It all depends on what u want OP...For me the screen & keyboard overshadows the negatives & I most definitely will be upgrading...But that's just me
