Re: To Touch Pro2 or Not to Touch Pro2....

I'm somewhat on the fence about getting the TP or the TP2. Is there anywhere that compares those two specific devices? I was originally sold on the TP2 b/c of the speaker and the bigger screen but, the more I read about it, the more hesitant I become. The TP2 has fewer hardware buttons on the keyboard, no flash for the camera (I find that thing more useful as a flashlight than for taking pictures lol), and no directional pad. I'm also surprised that they did not seem to make any major hardware updates to this supposedly "new" device. Its almost like a few years ago when Nintendo made the original DS, then repackaged it with a smaller form factor and a better screen as the DSLite. At this point, I have an old ppc-6700 and my contract was up a few months ago. I was on a family plan and recently graduated from college so the parents are kicking me off their plan. I want to stay with Sprint and just get the "everything" plan. Would it be better to just get the TP with some rebates or wait a little longer and get the TP2?

If you are on the 6700 you might as well wait for the TP2. That way at least if you don't like it, or something else comes out soon afterwards you can sell it for more than you could have sold the original TP for.

coming from the Apache the Pro2 is the way to go, the only ones who should be hesitant or not want to upgrade are the ones who have the Pro already since not much has changed from the device they already have but coming from the 6700 the Pro2 is a HUGE upgrade and worth the wait

Re: To Touch Pro2 or Not to Touch Pro2....

Thanks for the feedback. I'm at least going to wait until I can actually hold one of the TP2s in my hands before I go and buy one. I was excited for the original Pro but couldn't afford it at the time. Now that I can afford it I was even more surprised to see a successor so soon. Do we have any idea when Sprint is planning on selling the TP2?
