Re: Palm Pre from Sprint Sooner than you think, TP owners, will you switch?
Palm Pre is gonna be open source, and it does support tethering, so I'm sure there will be a way soon after to support PAM (without incurring charges from sprint)

That's like saying a house by a stream is only allowed to carry the water in with buckets instead of using an aqueduct or something.

That's probably the worst analogy ever. It's not a matter of capability, it's a matter of getting around paying for something. You are supposed to pay for phone as a modem, period. When you use your phone as a modem without paying for it, you are stealing.

Re: Replacing HTC touch pro with Palm Pre
Yeah, I'm ready for some change too. Luckily I get the phone for free, so I don't have to sell my Touch Pro, if for some strange reason I want to go back. However, if the videos online are any indication, I don't think I will. The ability to really multitask that the Pre will give you is going to be worth it, as well as all your contacts in one place, and the universal search.

Re: Replacing HTC touch pro with Palm Pre
At this point - I'll be sticking with my Touch Pro. The Pre sounds nice but in a lot of ways I don't really see a grand must have advantage to it. I'd also have to be able to port over the MetroPCS. Finally I'm more interested in the Touch Pro 2 or a phone on a LTE network.
