I'm not upset. I really would have gotten the pro if I didn't have to wait forever to get one. But as it stands, I like the Diamond just fine, and I'm pretty sure that I'm a guy.

Also, Sprint just knocked $50 off the cost of the Diamond, so I effectively saved $100 and weeks of waiting by going Diamond.

Re: Why is everyone leaving the diamond???

The bottom line is that they're different phones. I would like an SD slot, sure, but the Pro was like a Treo 650 in my pocket. A keyboard would be great, but not the one one the Pro. I'd really like a SureType stuck below the screen on my Diamond, cause I'm a weirdo. Its all about personal preference and won't ever be decided one way or the other.

Re: Why is everyone leaving the diamond???

I am stuck with Diamond at the moment as when I called insurance with issues with Touch (Vogue) they didn't have them and instead send me the Diamond... now I am finding Dimaond a tad bit smaller for my hands (it is slippery for tha size) and no SD slot...

I am throwing a fit like a baby, but Insurance won't budge and looks like I will be with Diamond for a while

Re: Why is everyone leaving the diamond???

Here's the key word for those who expect nothing less, and that's called versatility. Big toys for big boys as I stated before, and that's what people like me and many others who are moving on and not looking back are all about.

Re: Why is everyone leaving the diamond???

you have people who will always chase the next new thing and sprint knows it.all anyone has to do is search the old threads and pretty much everyone who got a diamond said they were trading it in for the pro because the pro was delayed 2 weeks and they didn't want to wait.as soon as the treo pre is released, some people will jump ship from the pro.look how many got the instinct from the touch and mogul and started kicking themselves.

So let me get this straight, because the iphone has no slot that means that us Diamond or TouchPro users don't need one either?? I fail to see how one has anything to do with the other????

Re: Why is everyone leaving the diamond???

I don't really need the keyboard since I was fine with my Sprint Vogue, but I need a SD slot. Right now I have 2 GPS apps (with full US maps) on my 8gb card plus about 100 mp3s and a couple of videos and I still have about 1gb free. No way that would all fit on the Diamond.

Now if we had a 4gb Diamond, no keyboard, small form factor, and a SD slot, then that would be killer for me.

To each his own though, some people require a physical keyboard and some don't. I would rather have the smaller size than the keyboard.

Re: Why is everyone leaving the diamond???

I got a good deal on a diamond, so I picked it up. While I wouldn't ever use the keyboard, the micro-sd slot is a big plus for me. And I plan to get one when my 2 year upgrade comes around in March.

Luckily for me my Mogul's screen cracked in October of last year when the Touch Pro was going to be released. I was then turned on to the Diamond. Since I NEVER used the keyboard on my Mogul, I did not hesitate to go without it. As for space, I had a 2GB microSD card so 4GB would be an improvement.

My parents paid for it so I didn't care about a "good deal"

Re: Why is everyone leaving the diamond???

Stveoski, if know anyone wanting to trade their HTC Touch Pro for my yet-to-be-received (from SPRINT/Asurion) New-in-box Diamond plus cash, please call/email me. I have a close friend who has a Pro who can help me with all the issues I'm sure to run into.. helpful to have the exact same machine. Asurion was unable to upgrade to a Pro from a Treo 755, but they're sending a new Diamond.
