Future expandability? ... in less then a year all of us diamond and pro users will be trying to make excuses to ecare to get outta our contracts to upgrade to whatever the next new device will be...(Perhaps Touch HD)

So let me get this straight, because the iphone has no slot that means that us Diamond or TouchPro users don't need one either?? I fail to see how one has anything to do with the other????

The question was:

The answer is, because the can sell TONS of them without it.

When do you think they will be out of diamonds to ship? lol...I'd take a pro or hd right now in place of my diamond....I do love the Diamond tho...

Re: Why is everyone leaving the diamond???

I started with the TP, coming from a Mogul. I love it!!!!
Last week however, I also bought a Diamond - as my "weekend" phone. Simply because I have a rather active weekend life and couldn't bear seeing my pouched TP come to any harm.

The Diamond fits nicely in my pant pocket - which is perfect for my weekend. But come Monday - it's back to the TP.

Yeah, I was kind of curious about that myself. How do you do it? Each time I changed phones, I had to call Sprint. I remember hearing rumors about Sprint starting to offer a service where the customer could just do it themselves online. Anyone else hear about that?

I've been going out of my mind trying to figure out how do to it. I found this, but it wasn't any help. There are no options that I can find on my online Sprint account to swap phones.

Re: Why is everyone leaving the diamond???

I'm amazed so many people bought the Pro, and don't even like the keyboard...

If the Diamond had a capacitive screen, or at least one that worked as well as the Touch, I would love it... but the OSK was a ***** to use, especially on the borders of the screen..

Also, to change your phone, (which takes seconds,) you just:

1. Log into Sprint.com
2. Click "Upgrade or Activate Phone" (right under the picture of your current phone.)
3. "Activate it Now."

You know the drill.

Takes a few seconds, and you need your IMEI or ESN to activate.

IF you have never activated it on your OWN account before, you might be subjected to an activation fee. You can usually get Sprint to waive this, no problem.
