Re: Why is everyone leaving the diamond???
i like my diamond...the only reason i would buy a pro is the keyboard...but id rather not have a brick in my shorts
as far as juicy and mightymike leaving the diamond upgrades...i think they would be better off not even starting their custom rom than to just leave it and possibly not come back..yeah mikes version might be good but the possibilities are endless and theres no such thing as final |

Re: Why is everyone leaving the diamond???
Whats all this about the developers moving over to PROs? I still see Juicy, Mighty, Calcu, Myself and many others still releasing updates for Diamonds. I myself LOVE my Diamond and would I switch to a Pro? Maybe, if I hadn't gotten locked out of being able to swap to it for a $50 difference, I'm not paying full price for the added features. I am more than satisfied with all the features in the Diamond and the only feature that I AM missing a bit sometimes is having a flash in the camera as taking pictures in a dark club or bar is almost impossible with the Diamond.
But yeah, development wise I'm not going anywhere I'm sticking with my Diamond for at least a year.

I suppose if I HAD to live with a measly 4 gig's of storage (& no expansion option whatever) I would have to rely a lot more on ORB. ORB is not a half bad option at times, but I would never want to rely on it 100% as it's simply not dependable enough. With my luck, ORB would freeze-up or lose the connection before I landed at the first airport on my itinerary & need the home computer restarted. As I stated earlier, I could care less about the keyboard (I hate the TP KB with its tiny much too stiff keys) & if there was a version of the Diamond that included a removeable card I would actually prefer it to the TP I don't even mind the size of the TP myself, I never put it in a pocket (I either have it in a briefcase or in a leather slip in vertical holster) & the larger size is much easier to hang onto IMHO (I actually like the size/weight of my old Titan's better than either one) ~John |

Re: Why is everyone leaving the diamond???
I can't believe that you would want to watch stuff during a whole week on the road on your Diamond or your Touch Pro. Do yourself a favor and buy a portable media player.

Re: Why is everyone leaving the diamond???
One of the reasons I own a device like the TP is so I don't have to carry extra items like an ipod, DVD player etc etc
If I'm lying in bed in a hotel room with the TP & a set of Motorola S-9 stereo BT headphones I'm good to go...... ~John |
