Re: Anyone have an iPhone or come from one?

In your list is an example of why I won't be getting the iphone.

Take your item #9....Real Artist. Wow! I think...they finally got a decent draw and paint app for the iphone. Then I click on the youtube video and it is yet another useless, flashy, and ultimately pointless piece of showare for the iphone. Great...so I can spend memory space for a program that smudges images with my fingers. And that is useful how?

Now, compare with WM, where I can load free of charge a program like VS Painter Lite and have an actual full-featured paint and drawing program where I can actually create drawings, maps, and edit images substantively.

The simple fact that the iphone does not accept a stylus and WM does means the iphone will never have the capability to utilize drawing and painting programs like WM. Never.

WM is simply much more functional over a wide array of tasks than is the iphone. But it also requires some technical knowledge...even of the basic type to be able to configure active sync, unzip a file, start the installer, or run a cab.

Everyone on this board is at least semi-tech. You have to understand that the VAST majority of people out there are absolutely non-tech. They want something that works right out of the box and requires no configuration or elbow grease. That is where the iphone excels. It is basically a well-packaged phone with some toys added on.

Re: Anyone have an iPhone or come from one?

All devices have their pros and cons. No reason to bash one or the other and especially no reason to bash anyone's opinion. There is no such thing as a perfect device and there is absolutely no way to appease everyone because we all have our own opinions and wants. The beautiful thing about smartphone OS's (iPhone, Blackberry, Windows, Symbian, Android) is that somewhere someone smarter than me is writing a program to remove a limitation that I have learned to live with or didn't even realize it had

To draw, I sort of prefer to use my Corel Draw or Illustrator on my Mac/PC. Paid copies, I may add. Why would I want to draw on my phone?

That is my whole point in here. If U read the first few post, Iphone cannot do this, cannot do that. I simply told everyone what else Iphone can do.

This was something not even an at&t rep could explain. I asked him since I can't take the battery out what I would do in a situation where the phone locked up, and he said I'd need a computer connection to restart it.

How much do you pay monthly for at&t?

Re: Anyone have an iPhone or come from one?

Like I said, I am still a WM poweruser. I love both this device and I am not into war between the too. I gain adcantage by knowing both devices.
