Unless you have some sort of documented (aka through ecare or customer service), or recurring issues with your current phone, you are probably going to have to pay the same price as everyone else 399.99 with a 100.00 mail in rebate. You can try to get them to credit you immediately for the mail in rebate, but it's kind of a crap shoot.

I actually upgraded to the Diamond Touch for aprox. $20.00. After a lot of issues (ordered kept being canceled since oct/20/0 and a promised free handset (diamond touch which ended up being $20 anyways and 2 year contract).
EDIT: TP keyboard, mem slot, flash = <3... --> TP2 now
