Re: what made you choose the Touch Diamond over the Pro
First off you obviously read my post wrong i am not comparing the touch diamond to a computer. violent31601 stated he doesn't use his diamond for music that's what ipods, and mp3 players are for.
I said thats like saying why use your diamond to send e-mails then, that's what computers are for. If you can't get that analogy i'm sorry it makes sense to me. And as far as space i plan on getting the touch pro when it is released and there is a 16gb micro sd card out now and soon to be a 32gb micro sd card. That is more than enough space for me, and i doubt that you listen to all 200gb of your music on a daily, or even weekly basis so the songs you do listen to i'm sure that's enough space. Like i said i'm not flamming anyone i just didn't get his point. I think the diamond and the pro makes an excellent mp3 player i do music, and use my diamond to listen and write. Quote:

Re: what made you choose the Touch Diamond over the Pro
I was goign to originally get the Pro because I had a Mogul and it was the natural evolution. It also had longer battery life and more RAM.
I guess once they made the Sprint version have the same battery and RAM as the Pro, and was more pocket friendly, i deceided i could live without the keyboard with the added thin-ness with the same hardware specs, performance wise. |

Now seriously... My point was that using your phone for an MP3 player is one thing. But comparing the use of your Diamond instead of an MP3 player and using your Diamond instead of a computer is not a logical comparison. I can carry my diamond and an iPod with no problem, but a computer is not so easy. Though technically I carry my laptop to work (almost) everyday and my iPod sits in my truck when it is not in my pocket. True, I do not listen to 200 GB of music everyday, but I like a very diverse choice of music. It could be Sepultura and Mudvayne one minute and quite literally the next minute it could be Pink Floyd. Or even some Ice Cube or Kenny Chesney. Or Rob Zombie or Skid Row. The point is, I never really know what I want to listen to. And with my tastes and moods in music, size of storage does matter. And lastly, it is sometimes nice to enjoy music on a music player. Not a phone, but a music player. Solely for the reason that it is only a music player, and nothing more.

Re: what made you choose the Touch Diamond over the Pro
I respect your opinon. The ipod touch does have a bigger screen so watching videos would be nice. I would prefer to watch it on my diamond because the screen is better quality but whatever floats your boat . I also referred to the space issue a few post up. But i respect your opinon i just didn't get your point at first

i like your sense of humor . But like i said if you can't get that analogy (which obviously you don't) i'm sorry i can't explain it any better (i don't want to take the time to explain it any better.) But i respect your opinion and get your point of sometimes just wanting to use an mp3 player. Truce

Re: what made you choose the Touch Diamond over the Pro
because,
the diamond came out first and its already setup to be exchanged for the pro.. honestly though i will compare the two when i have them hand in hand and choose the one i like better. the battery life is finally decent on my diamond, i can go a day on a charge now, plus i love the formfactor, but i havent seen a touch pro yet..so i cant say if its too thick for me

IF Sprint intentionally delayed the Pro to cause a 'greater than 30 day' gap between the devices, in order to reduce returns, that's not a conspiracy - that's a good business decision! If I were Sprint, I would certainly do that. |
