looking for replacement

I am soon to be looking for a replacement for my ppc-6700. I was looking at the htc touch that sprint has. It is lightweight and will sync with my outlook contacts and calendar. These 2 things are my main requirements. I don't care for the keyboard and I rarely use the one on the ppc-6700. Then I found out that the htc touch does not have wifi. Anyone know of another ppc phone that can sync with outlook contacts and calendar and does wifi? Preferably running windows mobile as all of the software I currently have is for windows mobile.

Re: looking for replacement

Any WM device should sync w/ your Outlook items. Since you're on Sprint, you might consider the Treo 800W. It has WiFi and a host of other features. Check the review done by WMexperts http://www.wmexperts.com/reviews/sma...treo_800w.html

The Sprint Mogul (AKA HTC Titan) is also a possibility, but it's about a year or so old.

Re: looking for replacement

Well, rumor has it the Google Phone is coming out November 25th, but I really don't know any more than that. Are you sure you want Windows Mobile? I really like Blackberry, but I still like WM phones. I have a Pearl and a Mogul.

Re: looking for replacement

I am kind of confused. One of the reviews I read said the sprint htc touch did not have wifi. On the htc web site it says the touch does have wifi. Anyone know which is true?

The CDMA variant of the HTC Touch, codenamed Vogue, does NOT have WiFi. The slower, underpowered GSM variant codenamed Elf and Elfin, DO have Wifi.
CDMA = No Wifi
GSM = Wifi

I must admit to a bit of bias, but I like the Samsung i760 on Verizon. Comes with WM6, 6.1 update is now available, has wi-fi, syncs with Outlook, can get push email, and has been rock solid for me. I have used a Treo 600, 650, 700p, Moto Q Black, Q9m, and a Blackberry 8830. I am staying with my i760.

Hope this helps...
