Just jailbreak it. i found out today that good ol' apple pulled a sprint/htc move and disabled some features of the phone. once you jailbreak your iPhone you can have zoom and video, but i believe its only :20 seconds at a time.

So right out of the box you can't transfer video files from your computer to it? If that's the case then that's my deciding factor to just wait for the X1

No I meant no video recording, just pictures, it does indeed record video up to 30 seconds if you jailbreak it, but I posted the negatives before you start messing with it.

I'm sure they will come out with something soon that increased the recording opertunity

What video transfer concerns, I just watch hi def comparison of Minority report on my iPhone.
