Re: Touch vs Mogul?

I have two Touches and one Mogul. I will be using the Mogul as my travel phone because you can get 3200mAh batteries for it and the GPS is awesome. All are running WM6.1 and similar programs.

The RAM issue in the Mogul is real, but not a killer. I can't use S2U2 on the Mogul or MacFlo because of it, but that's it. BT range seems a little better on the Touch.

I like the phone on the Mogul better because you don't have to use a screenlock program since the screen isn't flush and your face doesn't press buttons like on the Touch.

Re: Touch vs Mogul?

Sir, get the Touch. The mogul has a rattlely keyboard with a 2 white spot screen. And compared to the Touch in size, the Mogul feel like your carrying a brick. Also, WM6 on 25 megs of available ran on startup is truly a biblical catasthrophy.

Jbaker, its a good choice. You are going to appreciate 75 megs or available ram.

Re: Touch vs Mogul?

After getting to use a touch for 10 hours, I'd love to own both my current Mogul & a Touch.

I can use the Touch on weekends & my Mogul Mon-Fri. It takes no more than 5min to swap activation.

I might just do it.

Re: Touch vs Mogul?

Wow, really hate to kick a dead horse here... but I'm gonna

I also have both the touch and the mogul (sprint) sitting in front of me with a decision to make. I'd appreciate a little specific feedback.

1. How often do you guys REALLY use the wi-fi? Should it be a deal-breaker?

2. Same question for the GPS.

3. I've read a lot of posts from ppl complaining about the Mogul's weak battery life. Does anyone have a similar complaint about the touch?

Re: Touch vs Mogul?

I'm joining the "me too" bandwagon...I NEED to decide on one of the two. I hardly text so I dont know how relevant the keyboard is for me. If its there, I guess its useful.
The Mogul has a flash, which I think is a necesity for all camera phones.
I like a jazzy looking phone, so more RAM on the Touch is a blessing I suppose when it comes to running iphone clones on your HTC.
And lastly, how useful is the wifi? I mean, forgive me, I'm totally a noob regarding HTC or any PDA phones for that matter. Is the wifi relevant to flashing roms and stuff on the phones or is it all done offline on a pc.
And one more thing, GPS... umm I havent seen it in action, is it something we need to have? ( like a necessity in the near future) I do travel a bit, not too much though, so I guess maps MIGHT be useful at some point.
Somebody please just point me in the direction of the Mogul or the Touch, based on my usage as I've pointed out. The last 50 posts just got me more confused than ever before.
Thanks

Re: Touch vs Mogul?

Aviod the touch at all costs. the 3 people I work with, including me have more trouble with it than any other unit in the history of units.

Re: Touch vs Mogul?

Well, i own them both and decided to get rid of the Touch, just didn't grow on me like i thought it would. I will not give up the mogul, even with the limited ram..it's suites me just fine.
