IF it actually took very little time to root the epic, the one click root page over on xda developers wouldn't be 50+ pages long of people not knowing what they're doing.

Quadrant at least posts measurable tests. "Everyday" usage would be like using a butt-dyno to get the horsepower of your car.

As the old adage goes..."what can't be measured cannot be improved."

I never asked anyone here to trade their Epic for anything. I just put my own first hand experience with both phones.

That is key what you mentioned....."not knowing what they are doing"
The very first time i rooted....took me exactly 3-5 minutes....

Secondly Quadrant is flawed and has been proven flawed....we can trick into scoring 2500 easily....basically it is good for a big e-penis...that is about it....how i gauge is my use.....so if I really wanted to brag I can make the phone 2400-2500 in minutes....but i dont go by that....becuase i can use a rom like I have now and score 1800 and it outperforms the one that scores 2400....btw that 2400 is a flawed score...it has been proven....that is what i am getting at....

I have tried all of these phones and i will not say any compares to the epic....if they did I would buy them in a minute....and i am not alone...I know lots that have tested thouroughy and ended up keeping the Epic....the only phone close is the Evo....but I prefer the Epic hands down....

What effectively happens is that Quadrant and Linpack use Floating points to do CPU calculations...on 2.2 and above snapdragons instead of using CPU to do the calculations use their VFP (Virtual Floating Point Accelerator)..its as fair as making your GPU do your CPU benchmarks..

Wirelessly posted (Samsung Epic : Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; SPH-D700 Build/ECLAIR) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17)

without reading all the posts I'm just gonna say .. even tho the epic keyboard sucks it wins. I've used both and the evo shift shouldn't even use the name evo in it. its disrespectful to the big boy(evo) lol ... amazing how it has a dpad but the enter button can't b used to select a link ... plenty other things but who cares I'm not using the shift anymore. any1 wanna buy the one I have ? lol
