However, when I was in a different part of the country in November (Ft Worth area) AT&T seemed to have better coverage than Sprint in some remote locations. Coverage is definitely a large consideration for me, and the cost of the monthly bill.

2) Get an EVO on Sprint's 30 day trial deal and do the same on AT&T if they offer something similar. Take em both for a test drive, then make your decision.

I think I have decided based on carriers. Although I feel like the iphone has a superior design/os, I am going to have to stick with sprint. I would like to stream pandora/iheartradio all day at work. I just recently found out to stream music on the iphone for approximately 2 hours results in 100 MB used. Therefore, if I ran it even for only 2 hours every day for a month, I would already go over the 2 GB cap. Going to have to stick with sprint and go for the evo!

Yeah.. not so sure what the huge hype is about. I have been using a diamond so am more than capable of using an onscreen keyboard.. and like the features the Evo has..

What are some benefits of the epic over the evo?

The Epic 4G has:

a better processor (3x better GPU) and better CPU...

it also uses up less energy..On a test they got 84 hours of battery life (with using the internet and etc)

it has hardware decode of videos including xvid, divx and supports mkv natively..it can also play back high profile h264 which evo can't

it has a Super AMOLED screen which is pretty much the best screen (you gotta see it to believe it)

it has Bluetooth 3.0 and DLNA support and supports video out through the 3.5mm port

it has a 5mp camera but the camera is better then on the EVO

must I go on?

There is no official date yet as the T-mobile version came out yesterday and AT&T one coming out on the 18th..the estimate though is it will come out late july/early august....

The TouchWiz 3.0 is A LOT BETTER then the previous ones they had..go visit the Samsung Galaxy S section we have here at ppcgeeks, there are a few videos and a lot of information.
