This is my thought on the iphone/winmo phones, but hell I'm just a stupid redneck.

The iphone works out of the box and does what it advertises to do and has 0 personality its kinda like this... You're going to purchase a vehicle okay this 7,000 dollar kia with a 100,000 warranty is going to get you to work and back fine and dandy, but than we have this 66 chevelle thats 7,000 thats almost complete this thing is bad to the bone.. Hell you probably were conceived in one of these puppies years ago @ your mothers prom who knows..

Do I want to hop in my kia and drive to work with the peace of mind when this thing falls apart I'm covered for 100,000 miles or am I going to get this chevelle that needs some work that if it breaks I'm going to fix it and I'm going to enjoy its personality and the pride of what I've done to it.. You're not going to show your buddies the latest wifi sharing app you got working on your iphone are you? You're not going to show your buddies the new 4bbl in you're KIA are you???

I just feel some people like the out of the box peace of mind that comes with the iphone. My wife would use an iphone if we had at&t, that doesn't make her an idiot or less intelligent than anybody else. I just couldn't get her to use a smartphone because she doesn't care about that stuff, thats extra stuff is what she uses her laptop for. She just wants to send her texts and check her myspace once in awhile, and make a phone call.

Now myself I want to mess with everything if there's a chance I can make something "faster or better" I'm going to do it. I might break it blow up the garage or burn the house down in the process but jeez, it was fun!

iPhone's capacitive touch screen is nice, but I prefer resistive touch screen over the capacitive one.
Because I am heavy stylus user, and I have need to use apps like remote desktop or VNC that demands pin point accuracy.

When I have to get surgical with application like them, nothing beats stylus's precision, and TP2's generous screen size and WVGA resolution has been nothing but blessing to me as an IT.
If you are an IT, then you know how annoying it is when you get called in the middle of dinner with your family, out at the restaurant.

With TP2, I can access and take control of any servers and workstations at my company to work on them, and the best part is.. unlike my laptop.. it is always in my pocket, always powered on and always ready to connect. Plus its gorgeous slidout keyboard and ability to click on the icons or items with stylus on the touch screen beats the crap out of the annoying laptop touchpad.

Life has never been better as an IT.
