Re: Why is TP2 better than iphone

Who cares how it looks? I mean bottom line is you really cant argue with sales... iphone has dominated the market without a question. Now people can use the "they're sheep or they are simple minded" logic all they want to but the bottom line is they are selling like nothing before. I have the tp2 and dont get caught up in the iphone hate because it is a nice phone.. and it has its pluses just like the tp2.. and has its negatives just like the tp2.

Look at it like this, try using the tp2 without manila or titanium and any of the other add ons like spb and see how much you like it. I just cant see myself really using ANY winmo phone without the ability to flash it because by itself winmo 6.1 completely sucks and is way outdated. It hasnt been updated in forever and thats the main reason they added manila to it which is nothing more than a glamour interface to cover the obvious.

I like the iphone and I definitely like the interface of droid. I'm not sure if i'm gonna wait around to see if winmo 7 disappoints again as usual or whether ill just go to a droid phone myself. Considering android has only been out 2 years now they are on pace to be leaps and bounds ahead of winmo in another year. Add to that the fact that developers write for the iphone first, bb second, droid third and winmo last if all... well it is what it is. I've stuck with winmo since the mogul even with all the BS and the fact that I went through a bunch of phones with problems... but this will more than likely be my last winmo phone. Droid is the future and goodness knows what the next iphone will have... wouldnt be surprised if the thing has a 120 gig memory.

But u still never answered the question. What does the TP2 do as a business phone that the iPhone can't?
It can remote into PCs not sure if an iPhone can do that, but honestly it comes down to preference as both phones should do everything you need and more.

You can go ahead and google it but here you go...

No dedicated keyboard
Additional memory capabilities
More carrier/network options
Built-in Office support
Network integration (with a Windows-dominant business network model)
Easy for Windows-cert IT groups to be able to customize options (for example, IT departments for some companies are asked to turn off camera options or turn off GPS options for a phone all together before they hand them out to employees)

and the list goes on...

I know right? That Britney Spears sold so many albums, so she's one of the greatest artists of all time! And that Twilight movie! Made so much in sales, it should really sweep the Oscars this year!

Well you can scratch the additional memory off considering the iphone comes with WAY more memory than our phones to begin with. Two, a lot of people dont need a physical keyboard. I hardly ever even use mine even though I have one. I'll give you the carrier thing even though it can be used on at&t and t-mobile.. or any other gsm network. The rest of that really is just geared towards the business clientele... which the majority of people that buy cell phones arent. I have office and havent used it not once.

Yea... comparing a cell phone to a cd or a movie... yea... highly logical.

Which is exactly what Windows Mobile has always catered to. Enterprise enterprise enterprise. It's their big money-maker.

Why can't you? They were perfect examples of how sales do not equal quality.

no, there doesn't need to be a better one. The argument is so inane and ridiculous it makes me embarrassed to own one of these phones. You know how many people actually tell me their iphone is better looking for an argument?

Hey, which is better? Power Rangers or VR Troopers? If you go with power rangers, it's only because you're hopping on the bandwagon.

I completely agree but it is human nature to argue, some people just do it to get a rise out of others..

There is no BETTER phone some just like one more than the other for their own reasons.
