I tried copying the HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml to my desktop pc first and editing there and then putting it back.. this didn't work either; and no, I didn't change the extension. Voila! Your city should show in the list now. |

Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
Now here is one for you guys..
I have added Williamsport, PA to my HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml list and I can select it and "add city" but it will not update. I have tried adding it to my .xml list three different ways now and neither have allowed me to download any weather data. Here are the three different lines I have tried on seperate instances: <city name="Williamsport, US" loca="NAM|US|PA|WILLIAMSPORT" land="United States "/> <city name="Williamsport, US" loca="NAM|US|PA|WILLIAMSPORT " land="United States "/> <city name="Williamsport, US" loca="NAM|US|PA|Williamsport " land="United States "/> The only difference in the second one is that I put a space before the end quote for the loca= field. I saw some of the other US cities in the list with a space at the end. I also have added Allentown, PA to my cities and it downloads fine. When I hit "update now" with only Williamsport the screen says "updating" in the upper right and eventually "unable to retrieve data for selected city". I had my weather file patched for Williamsport, PA on my HTC Touch Pro (Best productivity killing phone ever) and it worked fine under touchflo 3d, so I know there is weather data for it! Any advice? Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
Just a quick link for those of you looking for fexploreext.. the guy who mentioned it a few posts ago has a dead link.
http://www.google.com/search?q=fexpl...ient=firefox-a It's freeware, I would hit up the first result. That's where I got mine. |

Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
It's a good thing I have some free time to kill tonight.. I'm being persistant
I headed over to the HTC Titan forums. Thank you conflipper Check this out for the solution to my problem: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36340 If you want all the cities in there (most of the US), you can just download this: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...0&d=1226458049 Then download this: http://rapidshare.com/files/14553051..._N2A_patch.zip Then copy/paste those files into your Windows directory on the Treo. Overwrite the ones that are already there when prompted. Remember to be careful of playing with stuff in /Windows and don't do it while TF2 is running. When you are done, soft reset the Treo and enable TouchFLO when it comes back on. Now you can add your town. NOTE: simply replacing the HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml file with the custom one from conflipper will not work! You will still get download errors. You need the patched Manila2D.exe file as well. Some city lines aren't going to follow the same lingo as the others in the default list.. here is the line mine works with: <city name="Williamsport, PA" loca="17701" land="Pennsylvania"/> So if you are having trouble adding your own.. give the above method a try! Fixed! |

Re: Guide to Install TouchFLO 2D on the Treo Pro
I just installed this the other day, and I'm not having the offscreen problem, or 1/4 problem, that I was reading earlier in the thread, but here's my problem.
When I went and downloaded some more themes so I could change things up a bit, as soon as I added the themes, and tried to switch to them, now the slider to everything is hiding halfway behind the bottom of the phone (behind the phone/programs soft buttons). It didn't do it when I first installed all of it (which by the way I did it without using realVGA and it worked just fine, I followed the install instructions on xda to a T), just when I installed the themes. Wish it would work, I kind of actually like how this was working, as I was using iFonz, but not being a fan of anything with the letter i at the beginning of it, I wanted something different. Any suggestions? Thanks, salzion.09 |
