Re: Cracks in CDMA Treo Pros

dropped it once on a wood floor the day i got it, from about 3 feet, landed on the edge. Then i got the Innocase/holster, and once it wasn't secure and fell off my hip onto the asphault.

Got this one off ebay, one of the 1.03 "recalled" phones.

I've had it since April 1.

No cracks, no problems, no complaints. Recently flashed it to the official 1.04. So far so good

Re: Cracks in CDMA Treo Pros

Looks like innocase is what I'm putting on the replacement (if I get it). And a question for Crashjack. Haven't made it over to the Sprint store yet... and since you work for them, you think it's likely they will replace it given that there aren't any other marks on the phone? They definately look like stress cracks in the plastic.

Well, it really depends on the person you get. if you have TEP then you will get it replaced, its just the how that will be the issue. The rep could call the cracks just a cosmetic damage and/or physical damage which by sprint policy would require you to call Asurion, pay the $100 deductible, and get a new phone that way. I personally dont agree with that policy. if the rep that you deal with does not agree with it either, then they would have no problem just replacing it. in short, just hope you dont get a rep that is "by the book".

Re: Cracks in CDMA Treo Pros

The material used on this phone looks similiar to what is on the iphone 3g and 3gs back... I have seen a lot of cracked iphone's back plate and apple will not cover that... even though they made it out of a cheap material.
