Re: Tether Treo Pro to iPod Touch
That worked great to delete that reg file, thanks!
I retried the WiFiRouter program and it still doens't connect. The WiFi signal says it good, then when I connect to it, it goes from 3 bars to 1 and I get no internet. I guess it wasn't the ForceCellConnection reg key that was blocking it. Any idea what else might be keeping it from connecting? |

Re: Tether Treo Pro to iPod Touch
no i use it on my computer what type of connection are you using? i know i tried to use it with my wii and it found it but would not connect. make sure the ipod can connect ad-hoc
Edit: found that it is possible to do what your doing but unless you can make a static ip in wifirouter the touch will not connect if you need a wireless connection and have a laptop with wifi capabilities try tethering wifirouter with your laptop and then on you laptop set up an ad hoc network and connect to it.... you won't be able to browse yet.... then start>run and type nslookup type that number into the dns of the ipod... voila! you should be connected Last edited by ooxteme; 03-28-2010 at 09:15 PM. |

Re: Tether Treo Pro to iPod Touch
I was trying to use the WiFi connection for ease.
I also tried the bluetooth connection. When I pair the iPod to the Treo the Treo sees it, but the iPod won't recognize my Treo (grrrr). I have the WiFiRouter set to AdHoc. It's also set to Dymanic, WEP/Open, Index 1 |

Re: Tether Treo Pro to iPod Touch
FFS. I just changed the WEP/Open to None and it worked. There must have been some issue with the WEP key or some crap.

Re: Tether Treo Pro to iPod Touch
No clue why the WEP option won't work. The passwords are the same, it seems to connect, but I get the IP & Subnet to populate, but the Router, DNS, Search Domains, & Clinet ID don't. hmmmm.
lol, good luck with the wii |
