Re: Sprint Treo 800W: 7/22 + 2 Pics
If it is thin, I might be in! I like the look of this phone... though as has been said, with the new Touch Diamond around the corner, tough call. Although, one of the articles with the first two leaked pics stated that testers have reported that this new Treo is super fast with NO lagging at all, which would be refreshing. Plus gps and rev a! AND wifi! Nice!

Re: Sprint Treo 800W: 7/22 + 2 Pics
I have used the 6700; 6800, and now have the touch. I never use a keyboard. Even when I had the Mogul, I never used the keyboard. I owned a Palm 101 about 10 years ago and that's the device that introduced me toi the PDA world. I realize that Palm was/is the PDA industry leader.
When using a stylis/pen combo, I find that using the transcriber is a lot easier. Since Treo devices do not have a transcriber function, this is the one deal breaker that keeps me away from Palm and Treo in general. However, my boy is willing to wait for the 800. The sprint representative told him about a phone called the instinct. I hvaven't been able to find out much about the insinct. Sparing me all the details, in you opinion, is the instinct worth waiting for?> Taco

Re: Sprint Treo 800W: 7/22 + 2 Pics
I want the Treo 800w except for a few stupid reasons. But this is how my head works.
1. It's ugly and looks like the $100 Centro. Why would I want to pay 5 times as much for a phone that looks like the low-end model? Counterargument: No one will want to steal your phone. You can operate incognito. 2. Why am I going to reward Palm again with my dollars when they don't innovate and take years between releases? Counterargument: Why shoot myself in the foot? The form factor has clearly been proven to the best one as crackberries are all in this same form factor. Have you ever heard of a text addict with the iphone? Or any crackMogul? Or a crackTouch? Screw my principles; I'm the one who's got to use the phone daily, so I should use what is the most efficient. Then again, why doesn't HTC make a phone that emulates the treo? I'd buy it in -4 years ago. |

Re: Sprint Treo 800W: 7/22 + 2 Pics
Does anybody know the differences between the 800 and 850? I have read up on each, and I can't find anything substantially different, but there has to be....right?
850: http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...d.php?t=165218 800 (posted in here, but here is another thread I have been reading): http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...d.php?t=164894 |
