I find my reception is a lot better. I have three spots on the way home that my 700 and my Touch dropped calls. Figured it was just a lapse in coverage. The last two days talked on the phone all the way home with no dropped calls. I bought the case Sprint has for it. It's ok but not as nice as the case and clip from my Touch. I'm sure they will be available from Sedio soon, I think I will just need the clip as this already has the rubberized case.

Re: 800w Reviews

I had a Treo 700wx as my first WM phone and I loved it. I got upgrade happy because I always want the cool stuff so in October I got a Mogul. I liked the Mogul for functionality but I missed my Treo. I went through 5 Moguls and Sprint gave me a Touch about a month or so ago. I was skeptical being all touch screen but I thought what the hell I ll try it. I HAVE LOVED IT. I am running a nice ROM now thats stable but I have been waiting for the TREO 800. I really want to upgrade but I will do it at Best Buy Mobile not at a Sprint Store. They get it next week. That means I get to read on here about until then.

So I guess my question is, with the Screen Getting some much smaller, and not any add on apps made for the sqaure screen, is there is going to be any current apps that will work?
How is the overall feel. I like the strudy feeling of the touch and the New Instinct?
How clean is the screen and how responsive is the screen?
Is there any things thats a negative thus far?

Re: 800w Reviews

something neat that the 800w has is a task manager program which lets you shut down almost anything on the phone which i thought was pretty slick. not as nice as having the tab in the upper corner but better than going into memory to close.

I absolutely loathe the mogul in every way possible. I can't wait for my 800w to arrive. The touch was much better than the mogul despite not having a keyboard.

Doesn't have an applications close manager. I'll have to install it. RIght now I have to go into the Running Programs and close the ones that are running.

not true!! press and hold the ok button! it will open up the task manager... its diff than the mogal but it is built in stock!

i love this phone. took me about 20 mins of playing with it before i got use to the navigation in the phone. its way diff than my mogal. the buttons i had to change up alot. its very fast on switching between screens. i have yet to hang up or need a reset. contacts are alittle wierd to get to. one thing that was bad is... i got about 40 old text messages when i swaped over.. they would come in like 10 at a time... i would recieve a new message and then 10 more old ones. spb back up does work from the mogal to the treo. all the spb programs will load and run fine. i also have tom tom 7 on mine and it works great!

Ahh thanks I'll have to inform the wife about that. I haven't been able to handle the phone for a few days now. She does a lot of testing and calling and it hasn't done anything so it must be a good sign. Normally, she'd be yelling something about her Q by now.

After using the two I do miss the larger screen on the Mogul.. the memory, keyboard, responsiveness is nice on the 800w. My main phone's still the Mogul until the Touch Pro.

Re: 800w Reviews

The screen size is what I also miss from the mogul, but when you factor in the responsiveness and ease in using the treo 800w, it is hard not to justify the upgrade.

Re: 800w Reviews

I'm hoping Opera Mobile 9.5 will work well on this phone. Having that on my Touch has been awesome!

Is there a huge difference in screen size on a day-to-day basis from Touch/Mogul to this phone? Or do you only notice it when doing certain things?
